Columbia Police investigate injury crash near South Providence Road and West Nifong Boulevard, Dec. 4

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Date & Time: Dec. 4, 2020 at approximately 2:40 a.m. 

Location: South Providence Road / West Nifong Boulevard 

Vehicle & Driver Information: 

Vehicle 1 - 2007 Subaru Outback passenger vehicle       

Driver 1 - 33-year-old male, Columbia, No seatbelt. Life-threatening Injuries. Next of kin has not been notified.

Incident details: 

The crash occurred when vehicle 1 was traveling south on Providence Road. Driver 1 lost control of his vehicle while turning west onto Nifong Boulevard. Vehicle 1 struck a traffic light pole on the northwest side of the intersection.

Driver 1 was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

This is an ongoing investigation. There are no further details to provide at this time.
