The human remains that were discovered in the 100 block of Austin Avenue on Aug. 22 have been identified, using dental records, as Clayton Jacobs, 58, of Columbia. Jacobs was reported missing on July 29, 2020. Next of kin has been notified.
The cause of death is still not determined. This is an ongoing investigation, and there are no further details to provide at this time.
