Columbia Police has identified Brian Sam, 43, of Columbia as the individual who was fatally struck in the westbound driving lane of I-70 at approximately the 126.6 mile marker. During the investigation, CPD was able to determine that Sam was walking west in the driving lane when he was struck by two vehicles.
Investigators were able to locate the family of Sam with the assistance of the FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
