At approximately 3:32 a.m. on Oct. 7, Columbia police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Rice Rd. for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers talked with residents near the scene who reported hearing several gunshots. During the investigation, officers located several shell casings and property damage to a residence in the area.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident. No suspect description is available at this time.
