At approximately 7:48 p.m. on Oct. 2, Columbia police responded to a report of shots heard in the 400 block of Oak St.
Upon arrival, officers located damage to a residence occupied by adults and juveniles, and several shell casings were recovered at the scene. There were no reported injuries at the time of the incident.
Officers were advised by Boone County Joint Communications that the suspect who shot at the residence was last seen driving a dark colored vehicle traveling southbound on Oak Street.
There is no further suspect description to provide at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation and there are no further details to provide at this time.
