(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility is holding an interested parties meeting Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the Columbia Public Schools parking lot near the intersection of Sixth Street and Hickman Avenue, to discuss the upcoming Hickman, Sixth and Seventh Street Stormwater Improvements Project.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the plans for a phased effort to reduce the incidence of flooding from stormwater and replace a failing box culvert near the intersection of Sixth Street and Hickman Avenue. After receiving input from the affected property owners, the neighborhood, and City Council, Utility staff has further evaluated viable options. These options will be discussed at the meeting.
Information and diagrams showing preliminary concepts will be available for public review, and City staff will be present to answer questions.
