Sidewalk closure scheduled on Locust Street, Sept. 21- Oct. 21

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 a.m., Curtis-Manes-Schulte Inc., contractor for Columbia Public Schools, plans to remove and replace sidewalk and drive approaches for Locust Street Elementary School. This will result in the closure of a portion of the south sidewalk along Locust Street between Waugh Street and College Avenue. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, October 21 at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the north side of Locust Street.
