At approximately 4:47 p.m., Columbia police responded to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Premier Ln. Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd and an adult male victim, 19, in the area.
Officers immediately began to render aid and called for EMS to assist. The victim suffered from gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. His status is not known at this time.
While on scene, officers were able to locate shell casings and damage to several residences in the area.
Witnesses described the suspects as two black males. One suspect was seen wearing a red and black hoodie with his hair styled in short twists. The other male suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie and had short twists.
They were last seen fleeing the area southeast of Premier Lane, on foot.
Detectives were assisted by members of the Violent Crimes Task Force, the K-9 Unit and the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
This is an active/ongoing investigation and has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division. There are no further details available at this time.
