Columbia Police investigate shots fired incident in the 1600 block of Towne Dr., Sept. 13

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 13, Columbia police responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 1600 block of Towne Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim, 23, who reported being shot at while walking in the area. Officers canvassed the area and found several shell casings and damage to multiple vehicles.

Neither the victim nor witnesses were able to provide a description of a suspect. There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.

This is an active and ongoing investigation and there are no further details to provide at this time.
