(COLUMBIA, MO) - A community briefing will be held Friday, Aug. 28, at 9 a.m., to announce new health orders for both the City of Columbia and Boone County in response to the recent jump in local COVID-19 cases. The new orders will go into effect at the time of Friday’s announcement.
Speaking during the briefing will be Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning, Boone County Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwell and other individuals representing higher education in Columbia.
The briefing will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Members of the media are invited to attend. Social distancing measures will be in place. Masks are required.
