The Columbia Public Works Department is holding an interested parties meeting regarding using traffic calming devices to lower operating speeds on North William Street from Paris Road to East Broadway as well as Hinkson Avenue from Paris Road to Old Highway 63. The drop-in meeting will be held at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Public Works staff will be available to discuss plans and take public comments. Social distancing measures will be in place during the meeting and all local health codes involving masks will be enforced.
The estimated investment for the North William Street/Hinkson Avenue traffic calming project is $50,000, paid for by the Annual Traffic Calming funds. A previous interested parties meeting was held Oct. 15, 2019. More information about the project is available at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/William-Hinkson-Calming.
