Sidewalk closure scheduled on South Fifth Street, Aug. 3 - Sept. 30

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Beginning Monday, August 3, at 7:30 a.m., the University of Missouri-Columbia plans to perform exterior repairs on the Gas Turbine Building at 413 S. Fifth St. This will result in the closure of the west sidewalk along South Fifth Street between Elm Street and East Stewart Road. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, September 30, at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. 

Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the east side of South Fifth Street.
