At approximately 9 p.m., on June 25, Columbia police responded to a weapons incident in the 2000 block of Arlene Drive.
Columbia police detained one 12-year-old male juvenile suspect for fourth-degree assault in relation to brandishing what the victim reported as a gun and threatening the victim. The investigation revealed it was a BB gun, which can be easily perceived as a real gun.
The juvenile suspect was released to his guardian.
