Columbia police investigate shots fired in the area of Bodie Drive and Edenton Boulevard, June 26

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police responded to a report of shots heard Friday, June 26, at approximately 5:10 a.m., in the area of Bodie Drive and Edenton Boulevard. 

Upon arrival, officers located a 19 year-old female with non-life-threatening injuries from gunfire. She was immediately assessed and transported by personal vehicle to a local emergency room for advanced treatment. Officers located damage to vehicles and residential structures from gunfire.

This is an ongoing investigation and is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Division. There are no further details to provide at this time.
