This year’s Fire in the Sky Fourth of July celebration will feature only a fireworks show, rather than the traditional community gathering with entertainment, food trucks and kids’ activities.
Columbia Parks and Recreation is offering residents the opportunity to bring the kids’ activities home with Fourth of July fun packs. Each pack features a sand bucket with the tools that kids need to make holiday crafts, including:
- Star-spangled slime
- Firecracker crown
- Star-spangled streamer wand
- Sidewalk chalk paint
- Red, white & blue beaded bracelet
- Columbia Parks and Recreation coloring sheets and crayons
- Temporary tattoos
- Glow sticks
The fun packs cost $10 each; limited quantities are available and they must be picked up in person. They are available at the Parks and Recreation administrative office, 1 S. 7th St. and the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash.
For more information please visit CoMo.gov and search 4th of July or call 573.874.7460.
