Beginning Monday, June 22, at 7 a.m., Watson Concrete Inc., contractor for First Presbyterian Church, plans to remove and replace two drive approaches for the parking lot at 16 Hitt St. This will result in the closure of the east sidewalk along Hitt Street between Cherry Street and Locust Street. The first drive approach will be removed and replaced by Wednesday, June 24, at 7 p.m., weather permitting. The second drive approach will be removed and replaced beginning Wednesday, July 1, and completed by Friday, July 3, at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the west side of Hitt Street.
