Lane closures scheduled on South Fifth Street, June 12

Beginning Friday, June 12, at 7 a.m., Jeff Schnieders Construction Co., contractor for the University of Missouri, will be determining the location of existing utilities. The work will result in the closure of the northbound lane of South Fifth Street between Elm Street and East Stewart Road between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m., followed by a closure of the southbound lane from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Two-way traffic will be maintained utilizing flaggers. The work associated with the closures is scheduled to be completed by 5:30 p.m. the same day, weather permitting.
