Columbia Parks and Recreation’s 6th Annual Visit Your Parks Playground Challenge will kick off on Friday, June 5. This year's challenge includes a message of safety to encourage park visitors to adhere to social distancing and CDC guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Playground Challenge is a free summer-long program designed to get children and their parents or guardians out exploring Columbia’s parks. Each participant who visits at least 10 playgrounds is eligible for a prize, including a daily pass to the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC). Participants who visit up to 20 parks will also receive an entry into the grand prize drawing for a $100 Columbia Parks and Recreation gift certificate.
The Playground Challenge will end Sept. 7. An online brochure and printable tracking sheets are available online at CoMo.gov (search playground challenge). Participants may also pick up a tracking sheet by visiting the main Parks and Recreation office at 1 S. 7th St. Tracking sheets must be turned in by Sept. 18.
For more information, please contact Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460.
