[SCHEDULE EXTENSION] Lane closure scheduled on North Eighth Street, June 1- 5

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Update Details: The work associated with the closure has been extended one day and will be completed by Friday, June 5, at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

Original Release:

Beginning Monday, June 1, at 7 a.m., Taos Construction, contractor for the City of Columbia Community Development department, plans to install a sanitary sewer to serve the Cullimore Cottages housing development. This will result in a lane closure of the southbound lane of North Eighth Street between Fairview Avenue and North Boulevard.

Southbound traffic will be directed to yield to northbound traffic via temporary traffic control devices. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, June 4, by 7 a.m., weather permitting. 

Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone.
