Update: Victim with life-threatening injury dies from May 25 shooting in the 2700 block of Quail Drive

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Rod Jamal Jones, 36, of Columbia, was taken off life support by the medical team on May 27. Mr. Jones sustained life-threatening injuries in a shooting that occurred in the 2700 block of Quail Drive on May 25.

Columbia Police responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound on May 25 at approximately 2:10 a.m. The victim was immediately transported to a local emergency room for advanced medical care.

This is an ongoing investigation. There are no further details to provide at this time.
