Columbia Police responded to a report of a person that was stabbed at approximately 8:45 a.m. on May 25 near Highway 63 and Clark Lane.
Officers arrived and immediately located one male victim, 42, with a life-threatening injury. The victim was immediately transported to a local emergency room for advanced medical care.
During the investigation, it was learned that the victim was experiencing homelessness and was attacked while in a wooded area near the bridge of Highway 63 and Clark Lane. Officers canvassed the area searching for other victims as well as evidence. No further injuries were reported.
