Local officials to provide community briefing on coronavirus, May 22 at 10 a.m.

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

A community briefing will be held Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. to discuss new guidance for all establishments within Columbia and Boone County to reopen. The new guidance, taking effect Tuesday, May 26, includes updated limitations on occupancy and signals the next step in the ongoing reopening and COVID-19 response efforts in Columbia and Boone County.

The following officials from Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will be speaking during the briefing: Director Stephanie Browning, Assistant Director Scott Clardy and Public Health Promotion Supervisor Michelle Shikles.

The briefing will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Members of the media are invited to attend. Social distancing measures will be in place.
