Starting Friday, May 22, Parking Utility staff will begin phase three of the cleaning of the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage, N. Fifth Street and E. Walnut Street. Phase three consists of cleaning the up ramp portion from the ground floor to the fourth floor.
Parking will not be available on the up ramp sections of the garage from the fifth level to the ground level during this time. Cones and caution tape will be used to mark which spaces are inaccessible and to assist in directing traffic.
Phase three will conclude with the cleaning and sealing of the entrance and exit ramps. This will require the complete closure of the garage from Saturday, May 30 to Sunday, May 31, weather permitting. During this process, vehicles will not be able to enter or exit the garage. The garage will reopen for normal operations on Monday, June 1, weather permitting.
