Health message
The CDC provides recommendations on wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as grocery stores and pharmacies. The CDC states that cloth face coverings should fit the following guidelines:
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Be secured with ties or ear loops.
- Include multiple layers of fabric.
- Allow for breathing without restriction.
- Be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change to the shape.
Changes to City services
Stay at Home Order
Due to the continued coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services Director Stephanie Browning has issued Stay at Home Order 2020-04, which extends the previous Order and includes the addition of supplemental authorized activities to include curbside pickup and delivery for all retail businesses. The order is effective at 8 a.m. on April 25 and expires at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 or until it is extended, rescinded, superseded or amended in writing by further order.
