Maintenance to the Eighth and Cherry Parking Garage, 14 S. Eighth St., is tentatively scheduled to start Monday, April 27, weather permitting. PULLMAN, City of Columbia Public Works contractor, will be cleaning smoke damage from the vehicle fire that occurred on January 25, 2019. Maintenance is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, May 6, weather permitting.
Beginning Friday, April 24, signs will be placed indicating which permit spaces on the second floor will be blocked to allow for maintenance. Permit holders may park in hourly spaces if permit space is not available. The sidewalk on the Cherry Street side of the garage will be blocked off on Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6, weather permitting. Vehicles will still have access to the garage’s entrance during this time.
As a reminder, on March 19, all City of Columbia parking enforcement was suspended until further notice.
