City accepting applications for boards and commissions

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia City Clerk’s Office is accepting applications for boards and commissions. Boards and commissions are a way for residents to be involved in local government and to represent the voices of their fellow community members. Applications must be received by the City Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 8. Applications are available on the City’s website at CoMo.gov on the City Council page.  

Due to the Stay at Home Order (Order No. 2020-03) issued for the City of Columbia because of the coronavirus (COVID-19), it is recommended an application be submitted electronically via the online application or by emailing the completed application to [email protected]. Applications can also be mailed to the City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 6015 Columbia, MO 65205, but they must be received by the due date. Additionally, please be advised that board and commission meetings have been canceled until further notice and that the City Council might not take action on board and commission appointments right away.
