City of Columbia coronavirus (COVID-19) update - no new positive cases, enhanced health resources website, recycling collection, Municipal Court information - Wednesday, April 1 at 5 p.m.

The number of positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Boone County is currently 66 with 24 who have recovered at the time of publishing. There are no new cases from the previous update. Below is information about enhancements to the health resources page on CoMo.gov, an update about residential recycling collection this week and information about Columbia Municipal Court.

Health message
The coronavirus health resources page on CoMo.gov has been updated to enhance readability, provide more information on local testing and added a section for businesses to submit essential business determination forms. Visit CoMo.gov/Health/Novel-Coronavirus-2019-COVID-19 to see the enhanced website.

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services has transitioned many staff members to working remotely. Changes to services lines will be posted on their social media accounts, on their website homepage and in this daily update.

Changes to City services
Solid Waste
City of Columbia Solid Waste hasn’t been able to collect all the residential recycling this week. Officials ask that residents keep their items at the curb and they will be picked up later in the week. 

Municipal Court
The Columbia Municipal Court continues to operate under limited public access until further notice. Except as set forth in the 13th Judicial Circuit Administrative Order, all cases through April 30, 2020, will be postponed to a later date.

New court dates will be mailed to defendants or their attorneys to the address on file with the court. To update an address, contact the court at [email protected] or call 573.817.5022.

Written guilty pleas are accepted via email at [email protected] or by fax at 573.874.7531. Forms are located here: CoMo.gov/Court/Court-Forms.

Payments can be processed online at trafficpayment.com, by phone 1.800.444.1187 or via mail at 600 E. Broadway, Columbia MO, 65201.

The judge and clerk’s office will hold video arraignments/hearings for inmates, will be available to recall warrants and process other appropriate paperwork.
