Public input meeting set for Feb. 27 for Worley Street Park renovations

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Parks and Recreation is holding a public input meeting regarding renovations at Worley Street Park, 503 W. Worley St. The drop-in meeting will be held at the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) 1701 W. Ash, on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Renovations at the park may include playground replacement, new lighting, new fencing and ADA improvements.

Staff will be available at the public input meeting to share preliminary designs, answer questions and take comments. An online survey is available through March 5 for those who are unable to attend the meeting; the survey is online at CoMo.gov (search Worley St. Park).

Park renovations are budgeted at $105,000. Funds will be provided by the 2015 voter-approved Park Sales Tax and a Community Development Block Grant.
