CoMo 200, the Mayor’s Task Force on Bicentennial Celebration Planning, comprising volunteers from across the community, is hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 12th beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Walton Building, 300 S Providence Road.
The informational presentation starts at 5:45 p.m. with Co-Chairs Deb Sheals and Dave Lineberry presenting an update on the Flat Branch Park extension, upcoming event possibilities and the opportunities for community partnerships. Columbia Mayor Brian Treece will introduce the task force along with a recap of progress made so far by CoMo 200 and introduce CoMo 200’s honorary fundraising chairs.
Prior to the presentation, the public will then have time to view park information and give feedback to task force members in an informal setting.
CoMo 200 is dedicated to planning, building and celebrating 200 years of Columbia through education and events that honor the city’s rich history. Interested members of the community can attend one of CoMo 200’s monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence Road.
