Columbia Police were dispatched to a report of a robbery with a gun at 3:46 p.m. at 3890 Range Line Street, La Siesta North Mexican restaurant.
An employee of the restaurant reported that he was in his vehicle during his break when a black male, approximately 25-years-old, possibly with a goatee and wearing a black hoodie cinched over his face, approached him and demanded money. The suspect struck the victim over the head with a revolver prior to leaving the area going east towards Spencers Crest Condominiums on Kennesaw Ridge.
The victim received superficial wounds to the head and was treated on scene by EMS.
The Boone County Sheriff's Department deployed a drone and a CPD K9 searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
