As part of a joint investigation, Columbia Police and U.S. Marshals arrested Aaron Harris, aka "Pooh Bear", 26, of Columbia on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in connection to the homicide of E’quan Spain.
Spain, 19, of Columbia, was shot and killed around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, near 5th St. and Park Ave.
Harris was arrested on charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Harris was remanded to the custody of the Boone County Jail.
"We are very appreciative of the assistance that the U.S. Marshals Service provided to the Columbia Police Department," Assistant Chief Jeremiah Hunter said. "Working with community members and partnering law enforcement agencies, we are able to find and bring to justice those who commit violent crimes in our community."
