Beginning Monday, Oct. 21, at 8 a.m., Winterland Inc., a contractor for the Downtown Community Improvement District, plans to install decorative holiday elements. This will result in periodic sidewalk closures in various locations within the Downtown Community Improvement District, including East Broadway between Eighth and Ninth streets, Eighth Street between East Broadway and Cherry Street, Ninth Street between East Broadway and Cherry Street, Fifth Street, East Walnut Street, and 10th Street.
The work associated with the closures is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the other side of the street as directed by signage.
