On Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 a.m., River City Construction, contractor for the University of Missouri, plans to remove and replace the front entry concrete on the State Historical Society Center for Missouri Studies building, 605 Elm St., to incorporate design changes. This will result in a closure of both driving lanes and closure of the north sidewalk on Elm Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. The work associated with the closure is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. Pedestrians should only use the sidewalk on the south side of Elm Street. More information about the project is available on the University of Missouri website at https://goo.gl/PDrZVG.
