The Columbia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired Monday, Oct 1., at approximately 7:30 p.m., in the 1400 block of Raleigh Drive.
Officers located evidence that indicated shots were fired, but there were no reported injuries. An uninvolved vehicle sustained property damage caused by gunfire.
The investigation revealed that two vehicles were involved. One vehicle was chasing the other and one vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle that was in the 1400 block of Raleigh Drive. Both vehicles involved were described as white SUVs and had left the area prior to officers’ arrival.
There was no further description of the vehicles or people involved. This is an ongoing investigation, therefore there is no further information to release at this time.
