Lane restrictions planned on sections of West Boulevard, Rock Quarry Road, Sept. 25, 27

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

A lane restriction is planned for the northbound lane of West Boulevard between Prospect Street and Sunset Drive, near 906 West Boulevard, to remove a tree within the City of Columbia easement on Wednesday, Sept. 25, weather permitting. Traffic will be restricted to one lane for part of the day. 


Tree and brush removal is also planned on South Rock Quarry Road near Zoe Lane on Friday, Sept. 27, weather permitting. Traffic will also be restricted to one lane for part of the day. 


Neighborhood reports and City inspection determined the trees and/or brush in these areas to be a visibility hazard for pedestrians, nonmotorized transportation users and motorists. 


Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution in the work areas.
