Columbia Police officers were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence Wednesday, Sept. 18, at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of James Dale Road.
Officers arrived and found a male who had been shot inside a residence. Emergency medical personnel determined the person was deceased. The deceased was not a resident where the shooting occurred and was identified as Kejuane Marshae Johnson, 23, of Columbia. Next of kin has been notified.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
