The Columbia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired Friday, Sept. 13 at 11:55 p.m. near Forest Ave. and Grand Ave.
Officers found two people with gunshot wounds. They were identified as:
Sam Baldwin IV, 28, of Columbia with life-threatening injuries.
Nadria Wright, 18, of Columbia with life-threatening injuries. Wright was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital. Next of kin has been notified.
Case number 2019-009638
The Columbia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2:06 a.m. near 5th Ave. and Park Ave.
Officers were told an individual had been shot and was transported to a local hospital via a private vehicle. A short time later a local hospital notified Columbia Police a gunshot wound victim was at their emergency department. The individual was identified as:
E'quan Spain, 19, of Columbia. Spain was later pronounced deceased. Next of kin has been notified.

Both of these incidents are active cases and under investigation. No arrests have been made. No additional information is currently available.
