BP Paterson, the contractor for the Lynn-Oak-Sexton sidewalk capital improvement project, plans to begin construction Monday, Sept. 16, weather permitting. The project is estimated to take 45 days, weather permitting.
Concrete sidewalks will be constructed to fill in the sidewalk gaps along the block of Lynn Street, Oak Street and Sexton Road. Some lane restrictions and a short-term closure on Oak Street will be required during the project. Please watch for updates on social media or online at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/Lynn-Oak-Sexton-sidewalk and adhere to signs posted in the work zone.
The estimated investment is $213,000 paid for through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax ballot and a Community Development Block Grant. An interested parties meeting was held Nov. 15, 2016, and a public hearing before City Council took place Aug. 7, 2017.
Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone. Pedestrians will need to use alternate routes.
