The City of Columbia Public Works Department has scheduled an informal open house meeting concerning the Leslie Lane Sidewalk project. This public interested parties meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Library/Media Center at Parkade Elementary School, 111 Parkade Blvd.
The purpose of this meeting is to present preliminary design concepts for filling in the sidewalk gap along the north side of East Leslie Lane between North Garth Avenue and Newton Drive. City engineers will be available to answer questions and listen to public input.
Construction is currently planned for 2020 following the City’s public involvement process.
The estimated investment for the project is $214,300 funded through the 2015 Capital Improvement Sales Tax ballot and the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP). More information is available online at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/Leslie-Sidewalk.
