(COLUMBIA, MO) - City of Columbia offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of Labor Day. The regular City Council meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Residential curbside recycling and trash will not be collected Monday and will be delayed by one day the remainder of the week. Go COMO, Columbia's public transit system, will not operate, and parking meter regulations will not be enforced on the observed holiday.

Parks and Recreation’s Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will be open limited hours on Labor Day, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be no land or water group fitness classes. Little Swimmers will operate as scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Although administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.
