Columbia Police investigate shots fired on Typhoon Court on Aug. 26

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The Columbia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired Monday, Aug. 26, at 5:52 p.m. in the 1500 block of Typhoon Court. Officers located approximately eight shell casings in the street. There is no report of injuries. The investigation is ongoing and crime scene technicians continue to process the scene. There is no suspect or suspect vehicle information to share currently.  

"This evening, shots were fired in north Columbia on a street where children had just been playing outside. For those who choose to invoke fear and victimize other people, we will continue to pursue you with the full resources of the City, County and Federal government," Columbia Police Chief Geoff Jones said.
