Road, lane closures scheduled on Smith Drive to install utility infrastructure for Westbury Village development, Aug. 12-20

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

On Monday, Aug. 12 at 7 a.m., Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., contractor for THM Construction, plans to replace a stormwater crossing, install a new sanitary sewer main and install a new city electric addition for the Westbury Village development. This will result in the following closure and lane restrictions:


  • Aug. 12-17, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.:  Overnight closures of Smith Drive between Scott Boulevard and Stone Valley Parkway will take place during the first phase of work. During this closure, traffic will be required to follow the signed detour.

  • Aug. 12-20, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: During the daytime, there will be intermittent lane restrictions on Smith Drive between Scott Boulevard and Stone Valley Parkway until the work is complete. Two-way traffic will be maintained during these periods utilizing flaggers.

Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users, and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and to use alternate routes.
