Don Schnieders Excavating, contractor for the City of Columbia’s Ballenger Lane shoulder widening project, plans to repair pavement on Ballenger Lane in front of the intersection of Pierre Street beginning Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 7 a.m., weather permitting. This work will result in the closure of Pierre Street at Ballenger Lane. Access to Pierre Street from Ballenger Lane will be maintained via Waterloo Drive and Tremaine Drive. The work is scheduled to be completed the same day by 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone.
