Original Press Release:
East Richland Road, Sinclair Road, Sinclair Street scheduled for mill and overlay operations, July 29-31
The City of Columbia Street Division is scheduled to begin mill and overlay operations on East Richland Road, from St. Charles Road to South Rolling Hills Road; Sinclair Road, from West Arrowhead Lake Drive to West Route K; and Sinclair Street, from Walcox Drive to the north end, on Monday, July 29, at 7 a.m., weather permitting. The work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, July 31, at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Streets will remain open to traffic during paving operations and flaggers will assist vehicles through the work zone. Minor delays are expected. Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users are asked to exercise extreme caution in the work zone and to use alternate routes if possible.
Mill and overlay involves milling off the top of the pavement surface and then applying a layer of asphalt back to create a smooth driving surface. The goal is to extend the life of the roadway. More information is available at CoMo.gov/PublicWorks/MO2019.
