(COLUMBIA, MO) - Registration is now open for the annual City of Columbia Office of Cultural Affairs Celebration of the Arts fundraiser on Aug. 29, at The Atrium on Tenth, 22 N. 10th St. The event is hosted by local developers John and Vicki Ott and supports the Columbia Arts Fund. As an endowment, the Fund provides perpetual support for arts organization in Columbia.
"Growing the Fund will support more arts programs and events in Columbia, expanding access and appreciation," Office of Cultural Affairs Manager Sarah Dresser said. "We are thrilled to have the Otts continue their longtime support of the arts by hosting this year’s event and look forward to welcoming guests into the brand new space at The Atrium on Tenth."
The event will also feature an unveiling of the 28th annual City of Columbia Commemorative Poster. This year’s poster features artwork by local artist Kate Gray. The public is invited to attend this special event that celebrates the arts. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with representatives from City-funded arts organizations and receive a complimentary signed poster.
The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. with the poster unveiling and ceremony at 7:30 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit comoarts.com or contact the City’s Office of Cultural Affairs at 573.874.7311.
