Interested parties meeting regarding Tupelo Place, Larch Court sewer project scheduled for July 31

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The City of Columbia Sewer Utility is holding an interested parties meeting Wednesday, July 31 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, to discuss the upcoming sewer realignment project at Tupelo Place and Larch Court. Information and diagrams showing the proposed project will be available for public review and City staff will be present to answer questions.

In an effort to reduce sanitary sewer overflows, the sewer lines will be redirected to City-owned property, replace failing infrastructure and improve hydraulics of the overall system. The purpose of this meeting is to present the construction plan and explain any impacts this project could have on residents in the area.

Construction is anticipated to take place in late 2020. Investment for this project is estimated at $150,000 and will be paid for with the Sewer Utility - Enterprise Revenue Fund.
