(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Howard B. Lang, Jr. Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service to the City of Columbia will be presented at the Columbia City Council meeting Monday, July 15, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.
The Lang Award is a high honor awarded to one City of Columbia volunteer annually. Last year’s recipient was disability advocate Cheryl Price. Previous recipients have included visioning leaders, Columbia economic development advocates and former mayors, among others.
The presentation will be near the top of the meeting’s agenda, which begins at 7 p.m. Media partners are invited to attend to cover the award.
