City of Columbia Water & Light will host an interested parties meeting Wednesday, July 17 as part of the Water and Light Advisory Board meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. The meeting will focus on a proposed program to expand access to renewable energy.
In order to make solar energy more widely accessible, City of Columbia Water & Light is working to establish a community solar program. Community solar systems offer access for customers who rent, whose homes are not ideal for solar or do not want to install a system on their own home.
Residents are invited to attend this interested parties meeting to learn more about the proposed program and are encouraged to provide feedback to staff.
