(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 1009 Hardin Street, unit B on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 7:00am.
Units arrived approximately five minutes later and reported smoke and flames coming from one side of a single story duplex.
Fire crews performed an aggressive fire attack using preconnected hose lines and had the situation under control in approximately ten minutes.
An Assistant Fire Marshal was dispatched to perform a fire origin and cause investigation. The occupant of unit B was not home at the time of the fire. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Seven units from the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched to this call. There were no reported injuries.
