Update: The utility work, originally scheduled for June 6-7, has been delayed one week. The work will now be completed June 13-14, weather permitting.
Original Press Release (June 4, 2019): City of Columbia Utilities will be installing infrastructure, which will result in a closure on Locust Street beginning Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. Both lanes of Locust Street will be closed to all traffic between South Providence Road and the north driveway of Hardee's. The street will be closed to through traffic between South Providence Road and Fourth Street, but businesses on Locust will still be accessible from the east. Work is expected to be completed by the end of Friday, June 7, weather permitting.
